We are pleased to announce the appointment in August this year of Matthew Hill as Plant Manager for Tansterne Biomass.Matthew is a Chartered Engineer with over 12 years’ experience in Project Engineering and Project Management roles in power plants across a range of technologies. In his most recent role with Chinook Sciences Ltd, Matthew was responsible for managing the procurement, installation, commissioning and operational handover of a £25m, 21MWe simple cycle power plant.This plant, also built by HRS and employing similar components to Tansterne, incorporates two high pressure water tube waste heat recovery boilers, an industrial steam turbine generator and associated auxiliary equipment.Matthew is Chartered Engineer, Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (MIMMM) and has a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering BEng (Hons) from Loughborough University.For more on Tansterne, go to the project page.
